Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2025
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you stay in control of it.
1. Overview
dlist.space ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it when you use our Discord bot and server listing platform (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
When you log in via Discord OAuth2, we receive and store the following information from your Discord account: your Discord user ID, username, avatar URL, and email address (if granted by your Discord privacy settings).
We also collect information you provide directly, such as bot and server listings, descriptions, reviews, FAQ entries, and other content you submit to the platform.
We collect basic usage data including which pages you visit and what actions you take. This is used solely to improve the platform experience.
If you use our API, we log request metadata (endpoint called, timestamp, and rate-limit counters) to enforce fair-use policies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: operate and maintain the Service; display your bot and server listings; authenticate your identity across sessions; send vote and webhook notifications for bots you own; enforce our Terms of Service; and improve the platform's features and performance.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Storage & Retention
Your data is stored in MongoDB databases hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Session data (your login session) is stored server-side and expires automatically when you log out or after a period of inactivity.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account and associated data, we will process that request within a reasonable timeframe.
5. Third-Party Services
We use Discord's OAuth2 service for authentication. When you log in, you are subject to Discord's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service in addition to ours. We only request the minimum scopes necessary to authenticate you.
We use GeoIP data purely for anonymised analytics (country-level view counts on bot pages). No personally identifiable information is extracted or stored from this process.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics), or social media tracking pixels.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and associated data, and withdraw your consent by disconnecting Discord OAuth access at any time via your Discord account settings.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us through our Discord server. We will respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
For significant changes, we may post an announcement in our Discord server.
10. Contact Us
